Balatonszárszó's smallest designated bathing beach, "Bendegúz Square", opens directly from the main coastal road, Jókai Street, which is also part of the Balaton Bringakörút, halfway between the village's edge of Balatonföldvár and the central park. It is an excellent stop for cyclists. The rest of the coastal area also offers plenty of shade from the strong sun.
